We all must eat, right? So we all need to go grocery shopping. There are 4 grocery stores here in that offer some sort of Whistler discounts;

IGA Marketplace; is by far the biggest here and has the most selection. They have a full page ad every week on the back page of the Entertainment section of The Question. This advertises their specials for the week.

Additionally, and most importantly, they have 2 vouchers. $10 off, if you spend over $100. And $25 off, if you spend over $200. These expire each week, but a new one comes out with each Question. Well worth it, if you will spend over $100.

Nesters Market; is where the locals shop. It is about a 10 minute walk from IGA Marketplace. Nesters also have a full page ad every week on the 3rd page in the Pique. Again, advertising their specials for the week.

Grab a Nesters card if you are going to shop here. This allows you to score the in-store and advertised Whistler discounts. Also if you use your Nesters card, you can put your receipt (no limits) into a raffle. Each week, they will draw out 5 names for a free bag giveaway!

They also have a Pharmacy (9.30am-7.30pm) in the store and have lotto facilities.

The Grocery Store; located in Whistler village. Has online ordering, but only provide in-store specials (like any other store). So no vouchers, or Whistler discounts as such. They have a full page advert in the Pique, but no specials are advertised.

Creekside Market; Obviously located in Creekside. About a 5 minute drive from the village, or 10-15 minute bus ride. Creekside Market advertise their weekly specials in The Question each week.

In term of discounts, they may have something each week. You will need to check out The Question each week to see what they are offering. It ranges from Whistler discount vouchers to entering raffle draws, to just their general weekly specials.

Season Pass

If you are coming to Whistler for the season, you should jump in and grab an early birds season pass. This is one of the Whistler discounts you may not want to miss.

The reasons being;

1. You can go up on the mountain as soon as the snow falls

2. If you score a job with the mountain you will receive a refund

3. If your job is not with the mountain, but is with a member of The Chamber of Commerce. You are entitled to a Spirit pass. You will receive a refund on the difference.

4. If you don't score a job with any perks, well at least you got a cheaper pass!

*Note: Keep in mind, if you purchase an early birds pass and later receive a free pass or Spirit pass. Your refund will deduct any days that you have already used on the mountain.

Thinking of joining the gym? Meadow Park has memberships for $60/month.

Although, if you want to get in early (recommended, as it gets busy after 9.30am), you can join up for a mere $30/month. What's the deal? You must arrive before 8.30am (and can stay as long as you like), or come after 9pm.

Bus Savings

If you are in an area where you must catch the bus frequently. Do yourself a favour and buy a WaveCard. It saves you $5 when you buy a 20-ride card and $2 if you buy a 10-ride card.
