Getting Around Whistler - The Easy Way

Getting around Whistler is as easy as ABC. There's nothing to it...

Whistler buses

There are 2 free Village shuttles that take you around the village. The #5 bus takes you around the main village. The #6 bus takes you around upper village only. Wherever you are in Whistler, there will be a bus stop only a hop, skip and a jump away.

If you need to go outside the village, a small fee of $1.50 is required. If you are going to Staff Housing its 50cents. And yes, you will need the correct change. If you are using the bus frequently you can save with a WaveCard. You can purchase WaveCards from all around the village.

The buses run from 5.30am to 3am everyday of the year. Approximately every 15mins, the bus arrives on all routes.

The bus runs;

• North to Alpine/Emerald until 2.15am
• South to Creekside/Function Junction until 3am

 After 9pm, "Request a Stop" is available if its dark, late and you're alone.

Taxi/Cabs

There are a couple of taxi companies that will take you around Whistler.

Whistler Taxi: 604 932 333 or 604 938 3333. They also provide fixed rates between Whistler and various locations. Check out their website for rates and reservations.

There is a taxi loop outside the visitors centre and a taxi stand outside IGA Marketplace.

A white phone is located IGA Marketplace, at the front of the store. This has a direct, free call to a taxi.

Walk/Cycle

There are many paths and trails around Whistler and the village. It is actually usually rare not to walk in Whistler, as everything is so close to one another.
