Welcome back to the Whistler snow report for what will be another awesome winter season. It's official Whistler Blackcomb has had the snowiest month on record for 25 years since the first data was collected. Make sure you get to Whistler as soon as you can to enjoy the record snowfall.

Merry Christmas for everyone at Whistler this Christmas. The snow gods are on fire again delivering more than 20cm over the last 24 hours for your Christmas enjoyment.

Be sure to get out into it early as the freezing levels are rising and it will turn wet before you know it.

It has been a few days since I was last up Whistler mountain as I have been out doing other activities in the beautiful sunshine and warm mountain air.

Mountain conditions were very slushy and sticky but the landings were soft making for a very enjoyable day in the terrain park or trying something new.

It was rather overcast most of the day today and there were even a few light showers. Visibility however was fine all day.

The Olympic run back down to Whistler mid-station is now very sketchy and you have to un-strap and walk through mud for the last 100m. It is a dirty experience and not worth the effort in these conditions.

The snow is melting quite rapidly and it is certainly nearing the end of the season. Get up there sooner rather than later as there is not too much longer left.

Bright sunshine and warm weather lately is absolutely gorgeous lately and makes for some awesome snowboarding conditions. The warm conditions mean the snow is slushy and soft and fun to board in.

Blackcomb mountain is now officially closed and all skiers and snowboarders must head up Whistler mountain.

The terrain parks in Whistler are in full swing with many people there to take advantage of the many rails and jumps that have been made. That is where I hung around most of the day taking Emerald lift up each time.

There seemed to be a lot of people going up the lift even around lunch time but the lines on the mountain lifts were nothing. This meant that you could get many runs done in a short amount of time.

Be sure to head out to one of the local bars who are now offering big savings like 2 for 1 deals and cheap beer once again.

Be sure to bring your camera up the mountain with you as these conditions are great for taking photo's.

projectpulp.com's Whistler snow report: Sunshine and slushy conditions up Whistler mountain as Blackcomb is now closed for the season.

Not much snowfall last night however there was still plenty of nice snow to be ridden on in the upper alpine due to the diminishing crowds. Your best bet was to head to the upper alpine and search for some fresh snow.

The cool temperatures meant that down lower the runs had iced up and were quite hard for the morning up until lunchtime. However after lunch they had slushed up a little making it softer and easier to board on.

The run out to the village on Blackcomb is getting very sketchy now and is not really advised for beginners due to all the rocky patches beginning to emerge. Beginners should stick to Whistler mountain but experienced riders get up high and enjoy the late season riding.

There is a pacific front expected to arrive Thursday night and dump significant amounts of snow over Friday and Saturday. 15-20cm expected for both those days. It looks like a great weekend of boarding.

I have contracted a dreaded Canadian flu so will not be boarding over the next few days in anticipation of feeling better for the great weekend conditions that are forecast.

17cm of fresh snowfall last night meant the mountains were in excellent condition today with plenty of powder for everyone to enjoy.

The upper alpine was closed this morning due to high winds. Around 11:30am they opened 7th heaven and we were one of the first up there. There was not one track in the snow on the lift up and we were all exited of what lay ahead.

Run after run of fresh powder and still very few people to contend with in the lift line. You could still get fresh tracks at 2pm.

The snow was light and fluffy although the upper parts of 7th Heaven were rather windblown. This made for some rough riding until you got down the mountain a little into the good stuff.

Check out some of the great entertainment events on at the moment with the Telus ski and snowboard festival. I have been out to a few concerts the past couple of nights and the quality of the bands and DJ's is unreal.

projectpulp.com's Whistler snow report: Great dry snow in the upper alpine, make the most of the great conditions up in the higher altitudes.

Conditions were great in the alpine today. The snow from yesterday and last night meant there was a nice coating of powder everywhere to enjoy.

Those who got up early were treated to fresh tracks and about 10cm of powder accumulating through yesterday and last night.

The cold conditions last night meant that the lower altitudes were very icy until the sun made them slushy toward lunchtime. There was even icy conditions in the alpine below the fresh snow and once the powder was pushed around.

Today is the kick-off of the Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival and the town is alive with energy. The coming 9 days will see some great entertainment and some awesome riding and skiing for all to enjoy.

Dry conditions are expected for tomorrow however there is 15-25cm of snow expected on Sunday. The long range forecast has a lot of snow on the way so be ready to get up there and make the most of it.

It was raining in the lower half of the mountains today and visibility was very poor. However there was still some nice snow conditions up in the higher elevations when the visibility improved.

Wet heavy conditions were experienced in the lower half and drier snow conditions in the upper elevations.

The traffic was next to nothing up the mountains today. People must have been put off by the less than ideal conditions. But those who did venture up were treated to fresh snow up high and nobody there to track it out before you. I was still getting fresh tracks at 2:30pm.

The weather is improving and there will be some great riding tomorrow with the arrival of sunshine and improved visibility.

Dry conditions are expected for the next 2 days with a low pressure system arriving on Sunday expected to bring 15-25cm of snow and lower freezing levels.

After a day off yesterday I was up bright and early in huge anticipation due to the 16cm of overnight snow. It looked great all the way until I began my descent and realised the snow was very wet and heavy.

There had been plenty of snow dumped last night and it was still quite fun for the first few hours of the day but it is a big leg workout. Keeping speed on the wet snow was hard work and once it became tracked out was very bumpy.

The upper alpine on Blackcomb was closed today due to high winds and avalanche danger due to the wet heavy snow. However they did open up Harmony late morning which I managed to be one of the first few there. The snow was much better although still very wet and heavy.

The visibility was very poor and the wind was howling at the peak of Harmony. It was not until half way back down to the lift could you actually see anything in front of you. All these factors meant it was quite a testing day for most people.

The forecast is for high freezing levels over the coming few days and more of the heavy wet snow. Make sure you stretch to prevent stiffness the next day.

You got it, we received a further 12cm of snow last night keeping the supreme conditions in tact up both mountains. The sun shine came through in patches today making it a very pleasant days riding.

I decided to head up to Whistler Peak today and explore the bowls and tree runs that lead down to Highway 86. There was plenty of fresh powder around for the entire day.

The crowds have died down which is awesome meaning that there is a better chance of finding untracked snow and the lift lines are minimal if there is a line at all.

Groomed runs stayed in good condition for the duration of the day with the snow remaining good all the way down to Olympic station.

This is the best conditions that anyone could ask for so there is no excuse not to get up there and enjoy.

With last nights snow we have received nearly 115cm of snow in the past week. What more could you ask for.

projectpulp.com's Whistler snow report: Pristine conditions with huge amounts of snow cover throughout both mountains

Another 11cm of snow fell last night and it just doesn't seem like stopping. It was cloudy again today and snowing for the entire day in the alpine.

I ventured up Whistler mountain today and found some of the most amazing off piste tree runs which I never knew existed (and by the amount of fresh snow nobody else knew about either.) With all the great snow we have been receiving it is the perfect opportunity to explore new terrain and head off piste. Ample snow cover means all those rocks and trees are covered enough to board over.

The groomed runs were still in mint condition despite the weekend traffic. The continual snowfall helps to prevent icy patches and keep things fresh. It goes without saying with all the powder around that things get pretty chopped up by the afternoon.

The ski out on Whistler is very sketchy now and it is not advisable to ski or board below the mid-station of Whistler gondola. It is just not worth ruining your gear for the sake of a 5 minute lift ride.

The Whistler snow report for today is: Fantastic. WOW, there is really no way to describe how good the conditions were up in the alpine today. Those who were up early got fresh tracks thanks to the alpine closure due to strong winds yesterday and man was it worth it. There was about 50cm of fresh champagne powder to ride on making it the best day of the entire season.

I know I keep saying each day that it is the best conditions of the season, but it is the truth. Whistler Blackcomb just keeps getting dumped on each night as we get hit by one pacific cold front after another. Since March 16, just 17 short days ago we have received 185cm of snow and there looks like more on the way.

Heading up high early today meant you could take advantage of the new snow and make your own tracks. I got about 3 runs of freshies in before it was too tracked out and the lift lines got long. This certainly proves that getting up there for first lifts on days like today is well worth while.

7th Heaven was in pristine condition and Lakeside bowl still had fresh tracks up to late morning. I dropped over the back into Horstman glacier which also had great snow as usual and less crowds than the rest of the mountain. My final run for the day was a hike over to Blackcomb glacier and a heavenly run back down to the cat track out.

Sunday morning is the last day for the fresh tracks breakfast program run by Whistler Blackcomb.

projectpulp.com's Whistler snow report: 50cm+ of fresh powder in the alpine is the most fresh snow all season. Powder lovers get out there and enjoy.

The Whistler snow report might sound like an April fools, but its not. We received the biggest dump of the season last night with a whopping 43cm of snow falling! It did not snow all the way down to the village but wasn't far off it.

The gondola at Whistler was broken down this morning making for chaos down the bottom of the gondola's. There was a massive line for the Blackcomb gondola and also for the Fitzsimmons Express chairlift. However the wait was well worth it.

I decided on Blackcomb to try and get away from the crowds however there were plenty of people out with the news of 43cm of powder. The staff kept the lines moving smoothly and they die out throughout the day. Boarding at lunch time is the quietest as everyone is getting inside eating.

I expected the powder to be heavy considering it didn't even snow in the village and the fact that the alpine was closed. However I was wrong. The snow was in perfect condition being light, fluffy and not too tiring to ride. The many tree runs on Blackcomb are great fun with the full snow coverage.

Get up there bright and early tomorrow morning to get those fresh powder turns in the alpine which was closed today.

We received 3cm of fresh snow last night and the mountain is in great condition for boarding and skiing.

I ventured up Whistler today and stayed on Emerald chair the entire day due to the high winds and lack of visibility up high. The snow was still in mint condition with plenty of fresh stuff just off the runs.

The terrain parks are in great condition with plenty of new obstacles to challenge all riders. There are a lot of little jumps just off the runs of Emerald chairlift.

Plenty of snow is forecast for the coming days and a possibility of it making it down to the village.

2cm of new snow last night just added on top of the consistent new snow we have been receiving the past 2 weeks. The conditions were great with clear skies, sunshine and great snow.

I went up to the Horstman glacier initially and there was great snow there as always. It seems to be very sheltered back there not copping the high winds and sunshine like the rest of the mountain. I find that the winds also blow the snow from 7th heaven side of the mountain and drop it over the Horstman glacier side.

I did a few runs down 7th Heaven also and the snow was still quite good here although there were some icy patches due to the high traffic and winds in this area.

Blackcomb glacier was the place to be with plenty of nice snow still to be found. A small hike into backcountry from here and I managed to find fresh powder runs. The glacier was the busiest I have seen it this year with the track down the bottom being the most covered of the entire season.

The run home became quite slushy and sketchy below the bottom of the Solar Coaster lift.

Headed up at 9am with 3cm of new snow. The groomed runs were nice, and I still found a heap of fresh tracks throughout Blackcomb mountain. With the sun shining down, it was a great day.

Went on Rock & Roll, which was not groomed, so you could feel the icy bits underneath. It wasn't too much fun. Next was the glacier. Some nice freshies were found here and the run back down to Excelerator was very nice, on soft packed powder.

Backstage Pass was our next run and I still had fresh tracks on the side of the run. I was surprised there were so many freshies I could find after Spring break (and the lift lines were small). Last, certainly not least, we went right on the top of 7th Heaven and cut into the Cougar Shoot. Again, fresh tracks were had here. Very, very nice.

An all round great day, with the runs and off piste in great condition. The Whistler snow report is looking good for the next couple of days.

Last night we received 3cm of fresh snow and conditions were great up the mountain. All the runs were in tip top condition and the off piste skiing and snowboarding was excellent on top of the snow we received on the weekend.

Maintenance crews on both mountains have really done a great job with the terrain parks with the most rails and kickers that have been present for the entire season. There is options for all levels of board riders up both mountains.

We have a significant amount of snow forecast for the remainder of this week. On Thursday we are expected to get 25-35cm of snow which will make great riding conditions on Friday before the weekend rush.

The 14 day forecast has rain and snow expected for the next 14 days in a row. Make sure you get into the best conditions of the season.

It snowed 15cm in the village last night, meaning that all the runs on both mountains were covered today. It is another great day to explore those runs that have not been open all season.

It felt like a lot more than 15cm of snow up the mountain today, more like 20-30cm of fresh powder. It is however a very heavy wet powder making it tough work to board all day.

The alpine was closed today due to very strong winds. This means that when they reopen the alpine there will be a massive amount of powder to enjoy.

The Whistler snow report is: snow on the forecast for the coming week, be sure you get up there to enjoy the conditions.

There was no new snow last night but the conditions are still great up the mountains. The sun is out so get out there and enjoy the great conditions.

A slight crust has formed over the powder off piste, however the runs are in the best conditions all year. There is a nice soft covering on top of the runs and hardly any icy patches.

Get up there and enjoy the late season conditions. There is a significant low pressure system arriving this weekend so get ready for some more powder snow.

There was another 2cm of snow last night but it was hardly noticeable on top of the massive dumps we have had the last few days. There is still plenty of nice snow out there to make tracks on.

Winds were very strong today especially at the peaks of both mountains. It was really howling and blowing snow into your face. However once you were in the protection of the mountain down a little lower conditions were great. The fresh snow and sunshine is a perfect combination.

We are expecting it to be sunny for the next few days in to the weekend when a cold front will arrive on Saturday and bring snow to the alpine and rain down low. Lets hope we get big dumps like last weekend.

Absolutely no doubt about it. Today was the best day of the entire season up the mountain. We had another 19cm of snow last night making it nearly 85cm for the last 5 days. And to top it off the snow today was truly champagne powder.

Both mountains are nearly 100% rideable with only the lower ski out runs a little sketchy. Head up anywhere you like on either mountain and make the most of these great late season conditions.

The tree runs in the alpine are a lot of fun at the moment. There is enough snow around for all the rocks and roots to be covered now.

Words cant really explain how good it is up there at the moment. You have to come here yourself to experience it.

20 odd centimeters of snow was dumped in the village last night and plenty more came down up the mountain. This on top of the recent snowfall means both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains have more fresh snow on them right now than they have had all season.

The conditions were magnificent today. It was dumping heavy snow all day today from just above base 2 on Blackcomb, yet visibility was fine. Upper alpine was closed all day due to high winds but the lower reaches of the mountain were awesome.

All those runs down low that you have wanted to ride all season, but couldn't, are now boardable. There is at least 25cm of powder all over both mountains all the way down to the village, although there is slush from base 2 onwards due to the rain this morning.

Good news is it is snowing again down in the village and we are expecting another 15-25cm again tonight. Get out there and enjoy the best conditions Whistler Blackcomb has had all season.

Oh yeah, we received 15cm more fresh snow up the mountain last night making for some of the best conditions we have had all season. The alpine is covered with powder and it is not too hard to find some fresh tracks.

All of the rocks (although still beware) were covered and there was enough snow for the hard ice underneath not to be a problem for most of the day. Still the lower alpine iced up in the afternoon, especially down the bottom of 7th Heaven lift.

Also, the return run from the Blackcomb Glacier is very bare with many rocky patches. I had to unstrap and walk across the Horstman Creek. Beware of this when heading out on the northern runs of Blackcomb. Hopefully we get heaps of snow to cover it tonight.

It is already snowing in the village and it is beginning to even accumulate down here. I cannot wait for tomorrow morning.

Forecast this morning was for a whopping 30-50cm for tonight however they have decreased that to 30cm now. And 15 or so tomorrow. It is going to be epic up there tomorrow.

projectpulp.com's Whistler snow report: Runs were good, still a little sketchy off piste.

We received around 15cm of snow on Wednesday and it has made for some great spring riding conditions up the mountain. We have waited a while for a decent dump and it looks like more is on the way.

Harmony chairlift basically had no line all day meaning quick uploads. This along with the great combination of fresh powder and bright sunshine brought smiles to all who were up there today.

There was still some icy patches caused by the slush of the last week icing up but the soft snow on top was a delight. Head high up both mountains and get into the good stuff.

Both Whistler and Blackcomb have closed the bottom sections of the mountains from mid-station on Whistler and from the top of the gondola on Blackcomb. This is due to the lack of snow coverage and exposed rocks. The bottom sections of the terrain parks on Whistler have been closed also. To compensate they have a lot more features in the upper park that they have created at the top of Emerald lift.

There is more snow on the way with flurries forecast for the coming 4 days. Get up there before the weekend when the crowds arrive.

It was snowing in the village this morning which means it must be dumping up top of the mountains. Reports this afternoon are saying that we have had 14cm of fresh snow around the roundhouse and even more up high.

I did not have a chance to get up there today but I have heard reports that is was fantastic in the afternoon when the clouds cleared and sun came out.

Conditions have really deteriorated up the mountain from the lack of snow and sunshine we have been having.

There are rocks poking up everywhere which you need to be careful of for your own safety and to not damage your board. It is advisable to bring up an old board if you have the choice.

Conditions are very icy until around lunch time and into the afternoon, then conditions turn slushy from the sunshine and traffic.

It is very hard to find anywhere with good snow up the mountain. Fingers crossed there is some snow on the way or our season is all but over.

Rain up the whole mountain over the last few days has made for some wet and slushy conditions over the entirety of both mountains.

It was not cold enough even up the top of the mountain to snow last night. We received rain all the way up to 7th Heaven meaning conditions were slushy.

The slush however was very soft which made for some nice landings. It was a great day to practice those new moves without hurting yourself too much.

There is more rain on the way tonight with the possibility of turning into snow tomorrow morning.

Blackcomb mountain was awesome all day today. Plenty of snow has fallen over the last week and things are just getting better and better in the upper alpine.

There is plenty of fresh powder around 7th Heaven and over the back into Horstman Glacier. The wind and fresh snow has created a lot of natural jumps and bumps to have a lot of fun on.

The big wind lip that was up at 7th Heaven is forming again and the one further down is still there for those looking for some airtime.

Perfect blue sky conditions were had this morning with the cloud coming over in the afternoon along with some flurries. It is still snowing up there now so fingers crossed we have another few cm's to board on tomorrow.

Don't forget the weekend crowds will be gone tomorrow so get up there and make the most of the great conditions.

I headed up Blackcomb mountain to avoid the heavy weekend crowds for just one run today.

Blizzard like conditions up the top and a whiteout on most of the mountain meant that I could barely see 5m in front of myself. It was snowing very hard over most of the mountain but the lack of visibility made it tough. I could not even see where the edge of the runs were.

Due to these unsafe conditions I returned after only 1 run and will wait for tomorrow when conditions clear.

Whistler snow report: No recorded snow last night, however a great day was had up the mountain today. It was snowing heavily all day in the alpine with some of the thickest snow I have seen this season.

Harmony Express lift was empty and I did not have to line up once all day. It was great. You could do a whole run without even seeing another soul.

Visibility was poor up high, although once you worked your way below this conditions were great. There was plenty of fresh snow to board on with plenty more falling from the sky.

Lets hope the snow keeps up next week. There is precipitation forecast however freezing levels are expected to rise to above 2200m.

Whistler snow report: No new snow last night but efforts were rewarded with some nice snow left from the previous couple of days where we have had over 11cm.

I went up Harmony on Whistler mountain today, choosing to head high in search of cooler conditions. It was very warm up the mountain today due to the clear skies. The runs were becoming very tracked out, however the snow was still great.

Harmony has more snow with less ice than Blackcomb from the recent snowfall. Slightly icy conditions and massive moguls were experienced toward the end of the day from the heavy traffic.

A 30+minute hike out to the Flute Bowl was well worth it for the fresh tracks and ankle to knee deep powder. Not as much traffic has gone through here so the boarding was terrific if you don't mind a moderate hike in and out of your run.

Whistler snow report: 3cm of fresh snow last night just added to the great conditions experienced up the mountain yesterday. I headed for 7th Heaven again and explored numerous runs back down the lift.

Cloud Nine was my run of the day with some nice powder still to be found late in the day. All runs down to just above the Solar Coaster were great with slush developing below this point due to the snow turning to rain.

Get up there and enjoy the best conditions for a while. More snow has been forecast for later in the week.

Whistler snow report: Finally we had a decent amount of snow on the mountains and wasn't it great. 6cm of fresh snow last night made for some long awaited powder to board on.

7th Heaven on Blackcomb mountain was in great condition today with the new snow. There were fresh tracks to be made everywhere up there early this morning and even into the afternoon. There was a lot of fresh snow over the back at Blackcomb Glacier, however the road out is still a little icy and rocky.

Mogul's from the warm weather lately have frozen and still pose an icy problem all over the hill. You can definitely hear and feel the ice under the fresh snow. We need some more good snow like this to make things even better.

With snow is forecast for the coming 3 days so lets all pray we get more than we are supposed to.

Whistler snow report: Today was a very nice day up the mountain. There was some nice snow from around Pig Alley and above on Whistler. The lower parts of the mountain were slushy and heavy yet much better than the ice.

It was snowing from lunch time onward in the alpine today quite heavy at times. Those big fluffy flakes that Whistler has not seen much of this season. It snowed down to around the Creekside gondola mid-station.

The forecast is for much more snow to come over the next few days. It even looks like snowing down in the valley tonight.

Whistler snow report: Conditions were very similar to yesterday. The slush froze solid overnight making for some hard and icy conditions in the morning. As the day moved on the warm temperatures turned the mountain into slush again.

Slushy conditions are much better than icy conditions so it made for some nice boarding toward the end of the day.

Fingers crossed the coming system brings some well needed snow to our mountains.

The Whistler snow report: Today was actually a very good day on the mountain. The warmer temperatures meant that minimal layers had to be warn and the snow was soft and slushy rather than sheet ice.

This made for great conditions all over the mountain. Seventh Heaven and over the back down into Horsteman Glacier and over toward rock and roll and ridge runner.

The slopes are certainly better in the earlier part of the day with it becoming very slushy and heavy toward the end especially in the lower reaches.

All taken into account though there is some good boarding and skiing to be done over both the mountains. Keep your eye out for loose rocks that might damage your board.

Headed up Blackcomb mountain today with reports that it is handling the sun and dry conditions the best. Thought I would try up very high in hope of some loose snow amongst the ice. No such luck.

There is a lot of ice all over the mountains, especially up high. The best bet is to stay down lower on the runs where they are making snow during the night. At least there is some softish manmade snow down there.

I was shocked to see that they have demolished the massive wind lip that was just below seventh heaven. Must have been too many injuries or it was proving to be unsafe.

Thought I would give Whistler a try today. The sun is out again and conditions are very comfortable. I hung around the terrain parks for most of the day taking Emerald lift up.

The groomed runs were icy from around lunch time but that is expected with the current conditions.

Make sure you have a go at Nightmoves night boarding at Blackcomb base weekly on Thursdays to Saturdays.

Groomers were hard at it again last night getting the mountain ready. I ventured up to 7th Heaven on Blackcomb.

I found Blackcomb glacier to be the best at the moment. Groomed runs on Blackcomb mountain were turning icy toward the end of the day.

The current conditions are very warm and sunny which makes for some awesome photo's. It looks to be sunny with great visibility for the rest of the week so bring your camera's up the mountain with you.

Runs are well groomed making for icy conditions throughout both the mountains. I went up to 7thHeaven on Blackcomb today and had a fun day on the windlips and terrain parks.

There is still a little fresh snow around if you search hard, but you are going to have to venture off the groomed runs as they are icy. The Blackcomb Glacier still had some good snow for boarding today.

The Whistler snow report says we got a trace of new snow last night all the way down to the village. This didn't make much difference to the mountain from the previous few days snow.

I went up Blackcomb today, groomed runs are in good condition although has icy patches towards the end of the day, especially at lower elevations.

The terrain parks at Blackcomb are in great condition with plenty of options for all levels of riders. There are heaps of rails set up and just as many kickers of all sizes. There is even a beginners park setup up the top of Catskinner chair which is perfect for all of you looking to get into rails for the first time.

The Whistler snow report is: We got 4 fresh centimetres of snow last night at the Roundhouse. However I went up Whistler today and got fresh tracks.

It was more like 7-10cm up the top. This made for some great riding on top of the previous day's few centimetres.

Also, I went through the upper and lower terrain parks on Whistler which were all in good condition apart from some icy patches in the lower parks. There are some nice rails and medium kickers up the top of Emerald lift. This park has the best conditions of the two mountains lately.

Welcome back to the Whistler snow report for what will be another awesome winter season. There has been over 3.5 metres of snow since the new year and there is plenty of powder around.

Merry Christmas for everyone at Whistler this Christmas. The snow gods are on fire again delivering more than 20cm over the last 24 hours for your Christmas enjoyment.

Be sure to get out into it early as the freezing levels are rising and it will turn wet before you know it.
